چکیده
The draft genome of Citrobacter sp. CtB7.12, isolated from termite gut, is presented here. This organism has been reported as a cellulolytic bacterium, which is biotechnologically important because it can be used as a gene donor for the ethanol and biofuel industries.

Complete Genome Sequence of Citrobacter Phage CVT22 Isolated from the Gut of the Formosan Subterranean Termite, Coptotermes formosanus Shiraki
The complete genome of bacteriophage CVT22 infecting Citrobacter sp. strain TM1552 is reported here. Both the bacteriophage and Citrobacter sp. TM1552 were isolated from the gut of the Formosan subterranean termite, Coptotermes formosanus. This is the first report of a genome sequence of a bacteriophage isolated from the termite gut.
متن کاملWhole-Genome Sequence of the Novel Temperate Enterobacter Bacteriophage Tyrion, Isolated from the Gut of the Formosan Subterranean Termite
We sequenced the genome of the novel Enterobacter bacteriophage Tyrion isolated from termite gut. The bacteriophage is temperate in nature and belongs to the Podoviridae family. Many predicted bacteriophage genes showed similarity to prophage regions of the genomes of Enterobacteriaceae bacteria. This is the second bacteriophage isolated from termite gut.
متن کاملSurvivability of the Subterranean Termite Heterotermes aureus (Snyder) (Isoptera: Rhinotermitidae) When Exposure to Different Temperatures and Relative Humidity
Survivability of Heterotermes aureus (Snyder) was tested under varying temperature and relative humidity regimes in laboratory incubators over seven day periods. Initial tests showed that RH had a strong influence on H. aureus survival. Survival was significantly higher (P<.05) at 90% RH than 50% RH when held at a constant temperature of 29.4 o C. Four temperatures were tested at a constant RH ...
متن کاملDraft Genome Sequences for Five Strains of Trabulsiella odontotermitis, Isolated from Heterotermes sp. Termite Gut
Trabulsiella odontotermitis represents a novel species in the genus Trabulsiella with no complete genome reported yet. Here, we describe the draft genome sequences of five isolates from termites present in the north of Mexico, which have an interesting pool of genes related to cellulose degradation with biotechnological application.
متن کاملWhole-Genome Sequence of the Novel Enterobacter Bacteriophage Arya with an Integrase Pseudogene, Isolated from the Gut of the Formosan Subterranean Termite
We isolated and sequenced the novel Enterobacter bacteriophage Arya from termite gut. The genome showed synteny to lytic bacteriophage genomes; however, the genome encodes a truncated, putatively nonfunctional integrase pseudogene. Lysogeny-related genes were previously observed in certain lytic phages, but their role and evolution remain unclear.
